21. Justice League Dark

In episode 21 of the Variant Podcast, we continue right along our journey through the DC Animated Universe as we talk all things Justice League Dark.

Released in 2017, Justice League Dark features an original premise, unlike the rest of the films we have talked about so far. While there is a Justice League Dark comic book, the film did not use that as the source material, rather, just used some of the characters.

The movie serves as a prequel to Justice League Dark: Apokolips War which was released in May 2020.

Directed by none other than Jay Oliva, the film stars Matt Ryan as John Constantine and Jason O’Mara reprising his role as Batman.

We at the Variant Podcast give this film 3.8/5 stars. Take a listen to our review today!
