Season 2 of Marvel Rivals will commence on April 11, 2025. The update is scheduled to go live at 5 a.m. Eastern Time (ET), following a maintenance period expected to last approximately 2–3 hours.
New Characters
Two notable characters are set to join the Marvel Rivals roster in Season 2:
- Emma Frost: Debuting at the start of the season, Emma Frost is classified as a Vanguard character. She possesses telepathic abilities and can transform into her diamond form, providing both offensive and defensive capabilities. In her default form, she utilizes a beam attack and can project barriers, while her diamond form grants damage reduction and melee attacks.
- Ultron: Scheduled to arrive with the mid-season update in late May, Ultron is a highly mobile Strategist character. He can deploy drones to heal allies and is expected to counter agile opponents effectively.

New Maps
Season 2 introduces the “Hellfire Gala: Krakoa” map, reflecting the opulent setting of the Hellfire Gala event. This map features vibrant flora and continuous fireworks, immersing players in the celebratory atmosphere of Krakoa.
Skins and Cosmetics
The Hellfire Gala theme brings a collection of elegant skins for various characters, emphasizing high fashion:
