Sony officially announced at CinemaCon that “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will be the title of the fourth film starring Tom Holland. It is set for release on July 31, 2026. Holland spoke via a pre-recorded video where he expressed enthusiasm about the next chapter in the beloved character’s journey.

“I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of ‘No Way Home,’ so ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is a fresh start,” Holland said. “It is exactly that—a new beginning. That’s all I can say.”

Joining Holland on this next adventure is director Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his critically acclaimed work on “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” At CinemaCon, Cretton shared his excitement and passion for the Spider-Man character, emphasizing the creative team’s dedication.

“I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world,” Cretton remarked. “We’re all, just daily, nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and more.”

Cretton also provided a personal anecdote, noting that his one-year-old son’s first word was “Spider-Man.”

Filming for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will commence in summer 2025 in London. Zendaya is expected to reprise her as MJ in a limited capacity, while “Stranger Things” actress Sadie Sink has been cast in a yet-undisclosed role, generating much excitement and speculation.

With a stellar cast and an enthusiastic director, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” promises to deliver a unique, emotionally engaging, and thrilling experience for Marvel fans.
